I am reading the book The Monkeyface Chronicles by Richard Scarsbrook. I like the book so far. The main character is named Phillip Skyler he suffers van der woude syndrome which is a facial deformation. He is bullied by two kids from his school Grum and Grant who happen to be the children of the schools principal. They beat him so badly that he tries to run away from school and his town. Half way through leaving he gets stopped by his mom who takes him back to school. His grandpa mom and brother all go in and talk to the school and try to tell them what happened. Phillips brother saw what they did to him but all Grum and Grants friends told them the opposite. Since the principal is the kids father he agrees with the rest of the kids from the school so his children can not get in trouble.

  1. I like what you have posted about this book, I feel just by the little summary you have given I am reading the book and know what is going on. I would be a little bit more focus on the grammer, but overall you have the right idea.

  2. I really liked this response to your book, it seems like you really put time in this response to think about what you were going to say. I found one comma splice, when you said "his grandpa mom and brother," you should have put a comma between "grandpa" and "mom." There was also one sentence fragment. In the sentence, "Phillips brother saw what they did to him but all Grum and Grants friends told them the opposite," there should be the word "of" should be between "all" and "Grum." Overall, I thought you did a good job with this response.

  3. You have A LOT of catching up to do. I hope that you have been writing your blog posts and just not publishing them yet....because if you have not been doing the reading OR the posting, you are really going to struggle to get a mark for this assessment Isaac. The class will be on Blog Post #9 this week....
